Two Funny Videos From YouTube

This one is entitled: Bad Day at the Office

This second video is entitled: Ken Lee or Without you by Mariah Carey

Wow, what a voice!!!!

A merry heart doeth good [like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22

Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

This is just a video I took on the way back from Sight and Sound Theater ( in Strasburg, PA. What a great Christian Theater!

Then said I, Here am I; send me.

I am quoting the second part of Isaiah 6:8 in my title. As I was seeking the Lord earlier this evening, that was the verse that the Lord gave me.

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?

That is the beginning of Isaiah 6:8. I was inquiring of the Lord about me going to Kenya when I got that verse... What more can I say?

Jesus Christ Has Risen From the Dead

I know this has nothing to do with making money, but to tell you the truth, I could care less about making money at the moment.

The way I was trying to make money through this blog was through the ads I have posted on this site. However, the chances that I will even be able to make a penny through Adsense are so slim, that I would rather just write about what I feel like writing about.

I got the below video originally from Youtube. I signed up for a temporary Super Real Player account (which you don't need to do if you just want to rip YouTube videos - you just need a regular free account) to burn the video onto a DVD. It worked, but first you have to download the video onto your laptop (or desktop PC) using the Real Player.

After I downloaded the original, I had to send it out to convert it to an AVI file because Windows movie maker will not upload a Flash Video (which is the format the video came in when I ripped it from YouTube). Then (which was the company I used to convert the movie into AVI) sent me back the converted file and I uploaded it onto Windows Movie maker. After that I downloaded the music I wanted from Itunes. However, I had to convert that file into MP3 using Wavepad. It was a lot of work, but if you notice, the video has no singing, just background music and vocals. That was exactly the aim for the video and the reason we spent so much time trying to make it.

Below is the original version ripped from YouTube. I accidentally posted it back onto YouTube thinking it was the video above. I considered deleting it from my account, but I have decided not to for some unknown reason. Maybe in time I will, maybe I won't...

How To Attract Traffic to Your Website

This is a big one. If you can do this, then you can quite possible make money on the Internet.

To tell you the truth, I am a little discouraged in my attempt to make a profitable website. This guy who made the website is a professional at attracting traffic to his pages. Of course there are a lot of things that I am not familiar with concerning the industry. I have been working real hard on my own personal site for nearly 24 hours straight (at least that is what it feels like). I have had the site for over a year, but I know that my approach to creating an impact in the world of the the Web, has been very minuscule. I think that the reason why I wanted to get this blog in the first place, was to make money from it. I soon gave up on that. I couldn't, nor did I even earn a penny from Adsense. So therefor I gave up pretty quickly and started blogging about the Lord and scripture. I did it more just for fun. You can even see that in the very beginning of this blog there where days that I would just type out one scripture. My intent was to post one scripture a day. Then I began to think that no one was even reading the single scripture I was posting each day. I am sure it was then that I kind of just bounced around and started to write about random stuff as I felt more and more comfortable online.

Then one day, a fellow from England shocked me. He wrote to me an email about how he was going through a hard time and that he typed words similar to one of my titles into a Google search engine. This is what he found:

Of course though, since I just changed the link to get to this blog, I lost the place where I was on the Google search page. It says that the post no longer exists or something. Anyway, I was real encouraged to hear from this guy. To imagine that someone across the Atlantic Ocean was blessed by something I had written, despite the fact we had never met, was the coolest thing to me.

The point about that though --- Hold on, I just got two ideas. First, you have to fill a demand. There has to be a demand for what you are offering, in order to get traffic. Second, you have to be careful how you market what you have. Did you notice the title of this post? The reason I chose it is because I am sure there is a sea of individuals hungry to know about how to attract traffic to their sites. The only flaw though is that this subject could be "flooded," as says in one of his articles. The title of what you write about is very important, that is what I am trying to say though. That is one of the main factors in deciding where your post or site is going to come up in an Internet search. I was trying to explain that using the guy from England as an example. He typed the words, "When the Enemy Comes in Like a Flood," and the page I posted earlier came up on the first page of the Google search.

Bottom line, choose a good title for whatever you write about, and you will increase your chances of someone finding your post or site through a search engine. I feel like I am stealing Steve Pavlina's words, but I think that I may of had the idea before I found it on his site. Perhaps you could call it more of a confirmation. Anyway, I think that this guy is way out of my league as he has forums and a lot of other stuff to offer. It is like he doesn't quit, he keeps adding to a great empire, kind of a thing. Oh well, that does not mean I can't learn a thing or two from him though, right?

Until next time, God Bless!

Using YouTube to Make Money

Writing, Blogging and Web Design

Those are three things that I am finding to be very interesting. I was thinking about writing in my journal about those three things, but I thought that blogging about them would be more profitable. You see, I have been keeping a private journal (77 pages so far) on this laptop (which I am currently using to write this post) since August 4, 2007. 77 pages worth of private thoughts, but what am I going to do with them? How is it really going to profit me if I just continue to keep privately journaling though? This thought just came to me - wouldn't it be better if I wanted to write, to make it public for the benefit of others and for myself?

I know that I can improve in this area. There are many things about proper English grammar that I do not know. If I am not an expert writer, how can I do well blogging? Those two seem to go hand in hand to me. Education was never one of my strengths when I was growing up (unfortunately).

How to Become a Billionaire

Does anyone really know how to do this? The main reason that I chose the title that I did for this post is to get Internet traffic. That is the key to making money on the Internet. If you can get traffic to your site, that is the first step.

Right now I am thinking about Mark Elliot Zuckerberg. Do you know who he is? He is the creator of Facebook, very young and he is a billionaire. (I must say that I had no idea of who this guy was or how rich he was until the other day when a friend told me.)

If you don't know what Facebook is, you must really be behind in the times, but just to give you an idea about Mark, I will post a Wikipedia link about him.

Now to tell you the truth, I am not necessary going to make any money from this post. Once again, what I am just attempting to do is attract a large amount of traffic to this post. I know that if I can get the traffic, there is a possibility that when I really know what I am doing, I will be able to make a good living off of the Internet. I definitely do believe that it is possible and worth my time looking into. Now, I believe that the reason that I am not going to make any money from this post is because I am not posting any Ads from AdSense on it... Yet. Let me see something real quick.

- no ad -

If I have done it correctly, there should be an ad from AdSence, right above this sentence. I wonder if I am allowed to do this? Really what I am trying to do is show you how to advertise and make money with AdSense. Let me just check to see if the ad came out okay. Okay, I did not see that ad when I published this post, but maybe it just needs a little time to show up. If it works, maybe I can post another ad, just so you get the idea. Well, the above ad is not seeming to show up for some reason, so I am going to try a different size ad below this sentence.

- no ad -

Okay, there appears to be a few kinks in the system that I need to work out. However, for the time being, I have posted an ad just to the right of these words.

I tried posting ads where I put "no ad". The ads did not show up for some reason, so I posted a total of three ads on the side of the blog and on the bottom. I just wanted to give you an idea of how it all worked and at the same time get a few ads out there to test out their potential.

Breaking Up is hard to Do

I know that everyone has heard that line before (breaking up is hard to do); I think it is a song title or something. I hate this feeling that I have, this pain that I have. I thought I would never feel this pain again, but it appears I was wrong. I hate this pain that I feel, I hate this pain!

I am reminded of the old saying, "No pain, no gain."

I suppose that if pain is what it takes to grow, then this pain is my friend.

I sure hope I get strong, because this hurts! I want to make it worth it, if you know what I mean.

Recently I heard Jensen Franklin say, "Pain lets you know that you are alive."

Jensen, my friend, if that is true, I am very alive right now, for I am feeling pain, heart ache pain.

I am trying to remember what else Jensen said, as he said something else that I thought was real comforting. Another day perhaps, trying to remember what else he said is just not happening at the moment.

How to make a lot of money using your blog

Okay, I know this is unusual for me to write about making money, but I got an idea the other day that I wanted to test out.

It has to do with getting a lot of Internet traffic to your site. Now, I have studied this subject (Using Internet Traffic To Make Money) a little bit, and there are a few things that I have learned about it. There is only one aspect that I am not to sure about, and that is the actual money making process.

I know that does not sound very good, but I am under the impression that if you can get a lot of traffic to your site, then there is a possibility that you can start to make money through the traffic. The problem is that I just don't know quite yet how to tie the traffic part into the money making part.

Here is what I wanted to test out today though. I wanted to test out the title of this blog to see how many hits I get on this particular post. My guess is that there are a handful of people who will type in those exact words, "How to make a lot of money using your blog," in a Google search bar or other search engine.

I would imagine that it could take a couple of weeks for this particular post to come close to being on the first page of a search like that. However, once it gets onto the first page, the number of folks who click on it could increase significantly.

Lets face it, money is a "hot" subject. People are always trying to figure out a way to make money. Now though, with the Internet, a lot of folks are starting to realize that they too can make a buck using the Internet.

To sum up, basically, the reason why I wanted to create this post today was to test if I am correct about all of these ideas that I have expressed tonight in this post. I suppose that in a few weeks, I will be able better able to analyze the accuracy of my assumptions. Until then however, I suppose this post will just be another post to me - Nothing special.

Of course then if I am correct about attracting the traffic, I will have to figure out a way to turn the traffic into cash. One step at a time though, right?

Spiritual Warfare

I think that there is a lot of spiritual warfare that needs to carried out by the church. What do you think?

Here is my vision

Here is my vision. It is one of plenty and prosperity in God's eyes. God's plan for my life may not look like "all that" in the world's eyes, but in God's eyes I am thriving as a palm tree.

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Psalm 92:12

Plenty and Prosperity - That is all that I see that God has for me. You may not believe that this is true. I may look like a "lost cause," but all that you have to do is watch how God blesses me over time. God has given me the time to prove that His hand is upon my life. You may not be able to see it right now (expecially if you saw me dancing on YouTube,) but God's hand is upon my life. Perhaps only in time will you be able to see it. That is all I can say to those who think I am a "lost cause." In 25 years, I am sure by then, it will be clear that God was with me. Even as I made a fool of myself dancing at Ray and Bianca's wedding and put it on YouTube for all the world to see.

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make [it] plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Habakkuk 2:2

For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:3

The White Boy Wedding Dance

Okay, finally I have caught myself on camera. You know how long I have been trying to catch myself in the act? Years!

Facebook is Addicting!!!

It 6am? Yikes! Today is Ray and Bianca's wedding. We are pretty much closed today (the Mission.) I must wake up around 10am to receive pastries from Dennis. I suppose then I could go back to bed for a hour or so. I was thinking earlier about all the obvious mistakes that I have made in this life: smoking, getting drunk, getting high (smoking pot,) tripping (Acid - aka LSD,) rolling (Ecstasy,) messing with girls, cutting class, not studying or doing homework in high school and finally not making an effort to go to college. (I actually did go to Essex County College here in Newark for about 3 weeks, but does that really count?) When I look back over all those mistakes there is one thing that I can breath a sigh of relief over. That is my salvation. I would rather be in my shoes today with all of my mistakes and know what I know about salvation, than to be that person who did not make the mistakes I made, but does not have a clue about God and His offer of salvation.

In the end it is my faith in Jesus Christ which comforts me. Yes, I made mistakes, but I know my God has forgiven me of them all and given me the promise of eternal salvation. I suppose, in the end, the only thing that matters is what lasts forever. Right? I mean if I am the most successful person in the world, but in the end I lose my eternal soul, then that is the worst of all fates. I guess right now, you could just say I am drawing comfort in what is eternal, mostly I suppose that means my salvation.

I have been saved. I was like a person who fell off a boat in icy waters. No one noticed but Jesus. He threw me a life preserver attached to a rope and He pulled me in. He saved me for all of eternity. That is what my life is like. It is like the joy you feel being saved from a terrible death, but only the death that He saved me from was so much greater than anyway I could die on this earth. He saved me from an eternal death. An eternal separation with God, did Jesus save me from.

That is what I am taking comfort in. Yes, I made mistakes, but Jesus paid for them on the cross. All of my mistakes have been paid for. That is a good reason for me to be happy. I am free and I am saved for all eternity. I have eternal life. I shall live forever with God and with all those who put their trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. We shall live together and reign for all eternity with the Messiah - Jesus the Christ of Nazareth.

Yesterday I picked up the bible verse Matthew 7:12 - The golden rule. I need to go to bed!
