Almost midnight. Almost July 29th. Almost done with our children's camp that has dominated my July for the past the 14 years of my life. Almost done. One more week of bliss for the children, after tomorrow, and then soon I will by flying to Kenya again. So stoked! I love that word, stoked, but I know it only applies to Southern California people, I think. Totally stoked about going to Kenya again! I mean I can't wait to see what God is going to do. *Sigh*

Anyway not sure what else to write at the moment. Need to be up by 8am which is not really that bad so that's why I don't mind blogging this late. God is good, God is great, have a fantastic night or day depending on what time of day this post catches you. Blessings!Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-67159377379228204352016-07-22T01:46:00.000-04:002016-07-22T02:01:19.005-04:00Trump For President1:24am and my fingers are typing, but what? What do I type? That I like Trump for president? He spoke tonight at the Republican Convention so this is fresh.

I know this will offend some people but honestly I don't think too many people are going to read it, so I am probably safe. God showed me in a dream that he is going to be president, in a quite matter of factual way: dreams. Of course there is a chance my interpretation method to my dreams is flawed, but I have been believing for quite some time, since before he started becoming real popular in his campaign, that he is going to win. Dreams, dreams, dreams. Not on me but a revelation of the future by God. What's the word???

Surely the LORD GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. Amos 3:7

So, in my mind I have no problem if God chooses to reveal the future to me through dreams and indeed it makes me feel quite honored. It is kind of tough though when people might not like that future God shows me, but really, who cares what mere man thinks of God's plans?

Oh the loathing I have heard from some Christians toward Trump supporters. "He's racist!" or whatever.

Personally I have always liked Trump, at least since when I started buying his books 4 or 5 years ago. Since then I really had no problem with him. Is he a hard-core Christian? Is he perfect? Is he just a man. No, no, yes. Is he intelligent? Yes. Is he a nice guy? I think if you treat him fairly.

In the end though he is very wealthy and is running for the highest office in the land. Things will and have gotten ugly. I can't say I support everything he says and does, but I like him, and I liked him before he started running for president.Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-57482799988165537782016-07-13T00:00:00.000-04:002016-07-13T00:00:32.676-04:00The Courage to BelieveWhat to say, what to write... Tuesday night nearly midnight, tick and a tock, so goes the clock, but what to write, what to write. Life. Life, life, life, on and on it goes...most of the time. Stopping here and there for a soul, an appointment. Divided we fall but united we stand. America, what are you?

I will not give up! I will not give up! I will not give up! I don't care how many times I fail, for every failure brings me one step closer to success. For failure is not the act of failing but the act of giving up. The struggle! The tenacity to believe that the next try could be successful, that is courage. Courage! Believe! Perseverance! Success cometh! This I know.Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-49677024410949070042016-07-09T23:58:00.003-04:002016-07-09T23:58:56.852-04:00Yes, Black Lives Matter AbsolutelyDallas. Why? Sin. Sin is the problem, whether it's racism or hate, murder or whatever else. Sin! Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God! As a white man living in a predominately back community, my experience is somehow connected to a black man in a white community. It's weird. Thinking about it all. Yes the black man might experience racism, and that is not right, but every day that I walk out of my door I have to be careful no one is going to try to mug me. What experience is worse? Are they equal? Black lives matter? ABSOLUTELY! But what I see every day here in Newark is black on black crime. So who really doesn't understand then that black lives matter? Love! Jesus! Love God and love other people, that is the only solution. God bless.Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-7513804607439776642016-06-22T15:08:00.000-04:002016-06-22T15:08:34.523-04:00Another Year, Another BirthdayI turned 37 yesterday, happy birthday to me! But to be honest, I have felt like 37 for a couple months now, or is it the other way around: turning 37 feels like you're still 36. What is life but a vapor? We are having a funeral here at the Mission on Friday. Someone I worked with here. Was sad to hear the news, is so easy to think things are never going to change, no one is going to die, everyone is going to live forever. But we all have an appointment, the Bible says, and this appointment to die is kept by everyone. I am happy this person knew the Lord though, so though like all our fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord, though death may temporarily separate us, the time will come when we will spend eternity together with the Lord. And that my friends, is good news!Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-73892640259948227462016-06-06T12:37:00.001-04:002016-06-06T12:37:48.407-04:00The Whisper of the FatherThe day has come, the hour is here, when the Father of lights is looking down upon the children of men to see if there are any that are seeking Him with all their heart. I am not sure but I want to write, so here I go, lets see what happens.

It's May 13th 2016, 6:02pm. I am a bit sleepy and it's a Friday evening. What great plans do I have?!?! I am so glad you asked!

Let's see.... Putting my bed frame together, organizing some laundry to take to the laundry mat, jogging a mile as quick as I can at a Retro Fitness and then going to a 24-hour laundry mat to do the laundry. Yes! My life rocks! Ha. I am so sleepy though, like I said before, so I don't know how much of this I will accomplish. Today for the first time in my life perhaps, I willingly woke up at 5am because I was having trouble sleeping. It was cool, I have been up earlier than that to go to work, but usually if I don't have to get up early, I don't. Never considered myself a morning person, but truth be told if I receive enough sleep I usually enjoy waking early for work. Something about being up and about long before the masses is quite pleasurable. Anyway, I suppose that's all for now. Blessings and peace be upon you!Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-12602698226111717142016-02-29T13:36:00.002-05:002016-02-29T13:44:22.064-05:00Clarice Fluitt on Sid RothWriting, writing, writing, I am taking a guess that once I start writing I will figure out something to say. Do I feel like writing? Actually, what I wanted to do was embed Sid Roth's latest episode which is with Clarice Fluitt. I love that lady! But Sid Roth online does not allow embedding for bloggers...though perhaps it is on youtube, the episode, for as we all know, youtube does allow embedding. Checking now, will let you know.
Bam! Found it! Praise the Lord!!! This makes me so glad! Here is the video:

Now I can go share this in my Sounds of the Prophetic blog too. Happiness!

It's now 2016 and the time of year when we are always correcting the last digit of the year in anything we write or say. A new beginning, just like scripture, old things have passed away and all things are new. It's a time of hope, when we can look to the future with expectation: "Yes I can do this!"

Perhaps also a time to reflect, a time to look back: how did we do last year? Hopefully you can at minimum say you didn't do too bad. Perhaps you may be able to say last year was "great!" And if you can that is wonderful, but we have to remember that we can't live off last years success. Life is a constant work, if you aren't moving you are falling behind.

With God all things are possible! You can do what God has called you to do, or else He would not have called you to do it. Have faith in Him, He will help you, He will strengthen you. Trust Him and move forward, the future is brilliant when He is leading the way.

In this new year of two thousand and sixteen, let us always know that God is in control–He will make a way where there seems to be no way, and we shall keep our trust in Him.Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-19990166017118285682015-12-19T19:32:00.000-05:002016-01-04T12:46:48.022-05:00Nothing ReallySo I'm here cause I'm not sure what to write about. I was looking for a Rick Joyner video I was going to post on my prophetic blog but was unable to find the particular video, so I was stumped. Bumped rhymes with stumped but then can't move beyond that. I have been reading a book on poetry so that is where my mind is creative expression. Let's see if I can't just flow a little:

No I can't do it, just don't have it in me at the moment. Sorry. Anyway, I am going to wish you a good night and that the blessing of the Lord be upon you.Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-44093063926705480562015-11-28T19:29:00.001-05:002015-11-28T19:29:28.242-05:00The Birth of ChristI can write here right now because I am not really sure what I want to write about. What? The holidays are here: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. In fact Thanksgiving just passed and today is the day after Black Friday. Yes, it's Saturday, evening and here I am at home sharing a little bit. But what? Christmas is coming? Or should I write like this: Christmas is coming!

Speaking of Christmas...interesting to note I have been reading one of my textbooks from a class I took last year or so (haha no I didn't really read it then, for after all I wasn't taking the class for credit) and for the past few days have been covering the date Jesus was born. When was Jesus born?

This being a book of tradition (The Words and Works of Jesus Christ by J. Dwight Pentecost), it argues in favor of a mid-winter birth in either 4 BC or 5 BC. It has been quite awhile since I started to believe Jesus was probably born on the Feast of Tabernacles (and not in 1 AD), but I find their reasoning interesting if even I am not persuaded. To me history is interesting, it keeps my attention, and the birth of Christ is not only historical but a great spiritual event.

Much has been written and taught about the Feasts of the Lord these days, and their significance to Christianity, so I don't suppose writing that Jesus may have born on the Feast of Tabernacles to be a surprise to everyone. One book I particularly like that argues in favor of this point is A Prophetic Calendar: The Feasts of Israel by Jill Shannon.

Though Pentecost's book shows why the shepherds may have been out tending to their sheep on a mid-winter night, if offers no contradiction to Zechariah conducting his priestly service in "late June or July" after which John the Baptist would have been conceived, and Jesus conceived six months after that. That all said, I will simply leave you with John 1:14:

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-15061948832392722532015-10-05T23:17:00.001-04:002015-10-05T23:26:53.990-04:00God's Good PlansWe serve a good God! From the rising of the sun to its going down, the name of the Lord is to be praised! Amen? Amen!

Praise be to God, the one and only true God who from the foundation of the world existed:

In the beginning of the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

I don't know what you might be going through at this moment, but I know God is a good God and He has good plans for you:

I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

God has good plans for us and thinks good thoughts for us, for if we understand "expected end" correctly is is a "hope and future." God wants to give us a hope and a future. Those are the thoughts that He thinks toward us, good plans, blessed plans, a blessed life.

Delight thyself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalms 37:4

Yes, goodness awaits God's people, the desires of your heart are just waiting to be given to you as you delight yourself in the Lord.

Blessings!Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-50838936985851605592015-07-26T09:46:00.000-04:002015-11-28T19:32:33.677-05:00My Church StreamingSince I don't really post on this blog very much anymore, I thought why not share the latest with my church's streaming widget:
Funny how things change over time! How we change, how we evolve, perhaps it's best said with the word mature. Several blogs I paid the hosting for I've completely abandoned but this one: the House of Mercy Mission. Working here at the Mission has been my life's work for the past 12 years, so it's only fitting that it's the only hosting that I currently pay for at the moment. Anywho, real busy these days but just wanted to drop this quick note to keep anyone up to speed who may be interested.
Much love in the Savior!
My work with the Mission is bringing me here (Swartswood State Park) on Wednesdays this July, and this past Wednesday (yesterday) I blogged a frustrated post from my BlackBerry only later deciding to delete it (for a couple reasons). However, in that post, I promised to post a picture from where I was sitting (along with that link, above is the picture). One last thing I'd like to do (to complete this post) is re-post the message I deleted from Wednesday. Here it is:

I'm a bit frustrated with my 8820 BlackBerry: I can't tweet, can't access my notepad and even find accessing certain phone numbers difficult. The little roller ball is not installed at the moment. The ball compartment of this phone has been giving me trouble for awhile and finally had its last stand last night. I went on ebay to order the new compartment, but until it arrives, I have limited ability with this phone. I can't access facebook messages, can only read the first few words of text messages and can read only titles of emails. It's quite a strange feeling having to deal with it all. Hopefully the new piece will be in tomorrow, for I need the speed and convenience this phone has to offer I tell you! Anyway, that is that. I suppose the upside is that I'm at the beautiful Swartswood State Park in northern New Jersey. What I will do is take a picture and show you the view from where I'm sitting. Be blessed!Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-2470829294695958052009-06-20T23:59:00.003-04:002014-02-07T11:41:21.670-05:00Eternal Life Can't Be BoughtTwisted and turned, around we go, life is but a flash too hard to hold. Throughout history wars have raged, people have strived and knowledge has been sought after. Many have said, "My eyes have been opened."
But to those who have said this, their eyes remained shut. Will it be how much money I made, you know, how much I got off that "trade." I don't think so. When all is said and done, what's really gonna matter to me, is not how fat my wallet was, but how sweet smelling the roses were.Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-35638938394894131722009-06-17T22:21:00.002-04:002009-06-17T22:22:18.616-04:00Just So You KnowI'm just messing around with a couple of the below posts (pure fiction, hope you don't mind), just having fun.Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-61187055283880108892009-06-17T22:16:00.003-04:002009-06-17T22:44:10.695-04:00She Keeps Looking, But I'm BusyWhy does she keep looking at me? I already told her that it would "never work." It couldn't in all honesty. But the way she is looking at me bothers me, I don't understand it. She needs to stop, it is very distracting. I have things to do, places to go, people to see. Oh no, her she comes.
"Hello" she says, "I was just wondering why you kept looking at me."

"Me looking at you?" I replied, "Ha! That is a good one. When are you ever going to learn, this is just not going to work."

"Stop it!" She says, "You have no idea what you are talking about."

And then it all starts to make sense, perhaps she is right, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.

Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-5150610123009067082009-06-17T14:55:00.002-04:002015-10-05T23:28:17.666-04:00The Female Bar OwnerShe said "I love you."
But it was not something I could accept easily. To be honest, I just did not trust her. She kept looking at me, expecting me to say something, but what could I say? Finally I replied, "Darling, if you really love me, why do you insist on keeping that dumb bar open? You know it drives me crazy when all the bikers rev their engines at 3am in the morning."
She looked away and I could tell she wanted to escape. I searched for her eyes, they were looking but could not find a place of refuge. I did not pressure her and took my eyes off her face. There was no point trying to retrieve a reply, for I already knew I asked her to do the impossible.Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-33160698770541179312009-06-16T23:37:00.002-04:002009-06-17T15:03:38.654-04:00After 100 DaysIn 100 days a blessing is going to manifest that is far beyond what you dreamed could be possible. I know right now that things don't look good, but God is calling you to a higher place of faith. Things look tough at the moment, but after the 100 days, that blessing will change the way you see the future.Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7845461663770776142.post-823797121923127412009-06-16T23:11:00.002-04:002009-06-17T15:04:13.734-04:00God is Protecting MeGod is the strength of my life, and Him shall I trust. I will not fear when all looks hopeless, for God is my hope. I shall trust in the Lord and my eyes shall continually look to Him for my salvation. The Lord shall deliver me, and I shall not be afraid of the evil that comes toward me. The Lord shall shield me, the Lord shall protect me and strike down that which shall try to attack me. God is my fortress, God is my strong tower, I shall make my boast in the Lord. I shall not fear, I shall not be afraid.Timothy Shieldshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05865115758434257919noreply@blogger.com0
